We give praise and thanks for the testimonies of how God has used faithful people over many generations to serve the people of Berega and to develop the work, each generation building on the foundations laid by their predecessors, ever since missionaries first came to Berega in 1879. Recently we are thrilled that the vision of the mission partners 10 years ago, for there to be a School of Nursing at Berega, has come to fulfillment, by the commitment to that vision of the Hospital Director and by God bringing together builders and engineers, doctors and nursing tutors, from three continents, to establish the school and that now its staff are entirely Tanzanian. It is producing skilled and qualified nurses who are making a real difference on the wards, not only in Berega Hospital but also in other hospitals and clinics in the region.
Now we are believing God for new volunteers, to go out to Berega, to teach and encourage and to learn and be blessed by developing the work further. There are opportunities in the hospital for all types of health workers and educators and in the schools, for teachers and for people with TESOL/TEFL training. Come and be part of what God is doing in Berega, and also support the work at home with prayer and by helping with raising the funds needed for the different projects.
