Answer: To find slope between two given points:

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Find the difference between the first two points

12-9.5/2-1 = 2.5/1 = 2.5

14.5-12/3-2 = 2.5/1 = 2.5

17-14.5/4-3 = 2.5/1 = 2.5

The rate of change between each point is 2.5
