well at first Frances government was falling apart and a revolution was waiting to happen eventually it did it violently transformed France from monarchical state to a more modern nation. before the french revolution France was in financial crisis for royal and rich people it was a blast because they had taxed the peasants even more than before because of the financial crisis.
